LAB REVISIONS
  • Revisions for Labs 1-21:
A warning dialog has been added in the beginning of each lab to inform the learner about the patience that is needed for the vCenter Server Appliance to fully boot before continuing in the lab.
  • Revisions for Lab 2:
The deployment of vcenter-2 has been modified with a new JSON script. With the new deployment, indication of a 90-minute window to complete the lab has been introduced in the beginning. A new task involving how to manage license keys is now included. An ISO file is now attached to the vClient for student use.
  • Revisions for Lab 19:
VMware HA has been fully modified to include management network redundancy and vSphere HA heartbeat datastores to include 2 datastores. Best practices are now presented with how HA clusters should be configured while having ESXi hosts already associated with the cluster.
  • Revisions for Lab 20:
Best practices are now presented with having both ESXi hosts properly configured for vMotion and for sharing 2 datastores so that they can then be moved into the cluster to be set up for vSphere DRS. Proper power on recommendations are now accurately described and followed.
  • Added New Lab 21:
Configuring Fault Tolerance was not initially included in the lab library due to VMware not producing it in their official lab documentation. Since FT is introduced in Objective 5.2 from the VMware ICM 6 curriculum, a lab is now made available to introduce FT concepts.
